Meet dr.
Legrow

R. Steven LeGrow, M.D.

Family Medicine

Dr. Steven Legrow sees patients of all ages for preventive care, acute care and chronic illnesses.

He was born in Newfoundland, Canada, to a family medicine doctor father and a nurse mother, and was raised in Texas. He attended college at Centenary College of Louisiana and medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Legrow completed his residency in family medicine at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, where he met Dr. Michael Sullivan. After practicing for two years with his father in Texas, Dr. Legrow chose to follow Dr. Sullivan to Watertown Family Practice in 2008.

He takes a straightforward approach to preventive care that keeps the patient at the center of the care process. He’s a strong advocate of vaccinations and cancer screenings and healthy diet, regular activity, and making time for mindfulness. He particularly enjoys helping patients manage chronic care challenges with a holistic, comprehensive and collaborative approach that simplifies the process for patients.

Dr. Legrow enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children, as well as reading, cross-country skiing, and running 5Ks and marathons. In 2012, he cofounded the Run Turkey Run Thanksgiving Day 5K, Watertown’s largest fitness charity event, which draws more than 1,000 participants every year and has donated more than $125,000 to local charities.
